My First Venture Into A New Area Was Motivated A Few Years Ago

I’ve founded my own fishing tackle shop on the net which is jolly exciting. It should allow me to expand my activities in carrying on with my SEO work as well as making money by joining affiliate marketing programmes and carrying links to retailers of bait and tackle, fishing books and DVDs as well as travel companies offering products providing for the tackle dangling enthusiast.

What I’m planning to do is cover all types of demand for bait and tackle for anglers in Great Britain and the United States which has been included, and Aus and South Africa will be added in the next few months.

Just now there is a tipping towards bait and tackle shops in the United States, and there is an excuse for this. As in so many areas, the Americans are far ahead of their British counterparts when it comes to affiliate marketing. Over there, where sellers have an online presence for vending their wears, they understand that they can find many more shoppers if other sites show links to them rather than depending on their own site being visited by shoppers, and are happy to pay a commission to push that.

This isn’t actually the situation for the UK online bait and tackle sites however, and the other basis for not many United Kingdom links is that there is a fishing tackle shop specialist who is getting together a new affiliate marketing programme for bait and tackle sellers which is preparing to go live in the New Year and I’m looking forward to joining that and then considerably building the number of links for Brit tackle danglers.

For now, the SEO work can carry on to promote the shop and by the time Britain sites are included, my fishing tackle shop will be climbing up the search results tables as the engines become more responsive of the existence of the shop and finds lots of good, relevant links to it, both in articles and within business directories.

What has encouraged this idea to have a fishing tackle shop as my opening in affiliate marketing is that I have missed it since I gave up tackle dangling many years ago. I was reminded how much I used to love it when I was based at an office that was situated beside a canal and during a break I would often see people outside enjoying themselves, and later when out for a stroll along one of the local canals some months ago I kept thinking how great it would be to be able to go off with my bait and tackle and get a bit of time by myself in a relaxing situation.

So in the future, I plan to improve the current site as much as I can, promote it across the search engines and then open some more and work on those. When I’m not sat next to the water of course.
